style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>WISH Pacific watershed interventions are implemented following consultation with village committees and in partnership with Fiji local authorities and WISH project staff.\u00a0The team provide training in management of water resources and development of ecological interventions to the next generation of health systems leaders, leading to sustainable\u00a0improvements in the health and environment of rural communities. \u00a0Inclusive decision-making processes involving government and local communities are key to ensuring long-term and effective management of Pacific&#8217;s watershed environments, improved sanitation and reduction of water-related diseases such as typhoid, leptospirosis and dengue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, evidence-based WISH Pacific watershed interventions have included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>co-design and installation of clean drinking water piping and water tank in Naqarawai village&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wishfiji.sydney.edu.au\/water-intervention-in-naqarawai-village\/\">[Read more]<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>governance review and recommendation for representation on village water committees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>updated water sanitation and safety plans (WSSPs) for each of the 16 WISH Fiji communities&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wishfiji.sydney.edu.au\/water-safety-and-sanitation-plans-to-enhance-drinking-water-quality-and-reduce-health-risks-for-rural-communities\/\">[Read
