Dr Christopher Uzzell

Chris is a geoinformatician and environmental scientist whose research examines how environmental factors shape infectious disease dynamics, particularly in resource-limited settings. His work focuses on environmentally sensitive waterborne and zoonotic illnesses, especially in the context of neglected tropical diseases. He specialises in geomatics, geospatial modelling, and environmental data analysis, linking climate variability and catchment-scale water systems to disease risk. Chris has field experience across Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, India, and Fiji, and aims to generate actionable evidence for climate adaptation and health system strengthening.
